 WHO IS STITCH?

What We Do & Our Mission

STITCH stands for Students Taking Initiative to Crochet Hats. Don't be misled by the name! We do much more than just crocheting hats. STITCH is an organization from Muir College at the University of California, San Diego dedicated to crocheting little projects to sell and giving back through donations to a wide variety of charities chosen by members themselves.

One of the charities STITCH has donated to in the past is Promises2Kids. Promises2Kids is a nonprofit organization in San Diego whose mission is to provide the necessary support and care for foster children who came from abusive and neglectful homes. Promises2Kids ensures that these children emerge from their circumstances as healthy and successful individuals.

By joining STITCH, members get to learn some crochet basics for FREE and materials are provided for all members at no cost! All experience levels are welcome!

Our mission is to inspire individuals to begin their own crochet journey and to use their old or newfound love for crocheting to help those in need.

All the proceeds from our sales go to the chosen charity.

**Membership is restricted to UCSD students only.**
